Maestro range of office furniture
The Maestro range of office furniture manufactured by Dams International is one of the most popular ranges of business furniture ever produced. This popularity is based upon a combination of Maestro offering great value, Maestro furniture is extremely hard wearing and functional, and Maestro offers many modular furniture products. Maestro is an excellent product range for both cost conscious businesses or the home office furniture user.
Maestro desks are available in only three basic shapes (rectangular, wave and ergonomic L shaped desks) each with a selection of sizes and a choice of leg designs from wooden panel end and a grey painted steel cantilever design. Over the years Maestro desking has been manufactured in several different melamine faced wood finishes. The 2008 range has been limited to a choice of beech or oak woodgrain finish, though cherry and light grey products have only recently been phased out and in some cases residual stocks might possibly be available. A few years ago Meastro range could be ordered in white though it could never be purchased as a fashionable black office furniture range.
If there is any drawback to using Maestro office furniture, it is that it is manufactured from 18mm MFC wood effect board which can make it look slightly too inexpensive when impression counts with external visitors, though it’s hard wearing strength and durability should not be in doubt despite its budget appearance. The commercial office furniture market has leaned firmly in favour of 25mm furniture products in recent years which usually looks much more expensive. A middle ground upgrade from Maestro furniture is the Maestro 25 range (also known as M25 furniture).
Maestro 25 desks are only around 10% to 15% more expensive than Maestro desks, but aesthetically they look a far superior quality and give a more positive impression. Both furniture ranges can be fitted in the same office and will not look out of place. The main factor to note is that M25 desks are only available in standard metric sizes (800mm deep and metric widths like 1200mm, 1400mm, 1600mm etc.) whereas Maestro desks comes in various non standard depths and widths (746mm deep and widths like 1228mm, 1532mm, 1778mm etc.) The range mismatch is only a problem if you intend to fit a Maestro 25 desk onto a cluster of original Maestro desks.
