I Picked Up Some Money Saving Suggestions For A Budget Vacation Not Long Ago!

Posted by admin under Uncategorized

All work and no vacation is not good, even in a recession. I spent some time doing research to see if I can arrange a nice trip while saving money in the process. As I’ve searched the web, I found that the big-name websites can all find some good travel deals.

Basically, in addition to finding the best price for airfare, car rental and hotel, it is important that you to use a travel website that has a reputation for providing a trouble-free vacation.  Then I was thinking about where to go where it’s easy to find good prices on air travel or where I can drive my car. Southern California certainly fits that description.

A lot of vacation ideas are provided at the SoCal Vacation Guru site.  At the present time, the site places particular emphasis on Orange County and Los Angeles County, with the stated goal of expanding its attention to San Diego County, San Bernardino County and Riverside County. For local insight and wisdom about Disneyland, Universal Studios, Knott’s Berry Farm, beaches, shopping, dining and other activities, the SoCal Vacation Guru is a great source.

Did you know that there are actually seven world-class theme parks in the area, those being Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, Six Flags, Universal Studios Hollywood, Legoland, SeaWorld and Disney’s California Adventure. If you were really energetic you could fit all of those parks into a very busy vacation, but it would not be an inexpensive trip. Also, you might save on airfare and hotel reservations as it looks like the economy has a lot of hotels really wanting our business, unfortunately.

In slow economic times the theme parks tend to offer more discounts, as to the museums and other activities. Despite increases and fluctuations in gasoline prices, a driving trip to So Cal might well be a cheaper vacation option for many Americans than flying to another vacation destination.
